I have also occasionally turned a photo into a link to a video, like below, but there's no visual indication that it is a link to a video. Most would probably just think it is a picture.

Lately, I've tried approximating embedding by making the picture a screen capture of the menu/summary screen on Vimeo, like the following:

However, that takes a lot of time and effort for perhaps a negligible result.
I've tried pasting the embed code that Vimeo offers, but it just produces the following:
<div style="padding:56.25% 0 0 0;position:relative;"><iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/98157095 ... p_id=58479" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write; encrypted-media" style="position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:100%;height:100%;" title="Macho Lei"></iframe></div><script src="https://player.vimeo.com/api/player.js"></script>
Lastly, I looked at embedded youtube videos posted on this forum, and tried to copy that embed code:
<iframe width="480" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ldkSV0gElxg" title="The Departure - Gattaca - OST" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
But that did not work either. I tried both of the versions you see below:
<iframe width="480" height="390" src="https://vimeo.com/981570956?share=copy#t=0" title="Macho Lei" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
<iframe width="480" height="390" src="https://vimeo.com/981570956?share=copy#t=0" title="Macho Lei" frameborder="0"></iframe>
I anyone has the key to unlock this mystery, there's a case of Old Dusseldorf in it for you.
Thanks,
