I'm cleaning/catching up my DVR and watched the Thanksgiving episode of Blue Bloods the other night and caught a Magnum appearance!
OK, actually my wife caught it, but it was when Reagan was in the hospital at the end. He bops into his dad's room and my wife goes "That's Magnum!!!". He then pushes the wheelchair down the aisle all the while talking and walking just like our guy Thomas Magnum . . . Francis Reagan nowhere to be seen!
It was pretty darn cool . . .

What do you mean, his mannerisms and talking style were suddenly Mag-style?

That's exactly it Styles. He was not dressed in the usual Frank Reagan three piece and first walked into the hospital room with his Magnum bop, he even held his shoulders differently. The walk down the hall pushing the wheelchair has TM mannerisms in full effect!
It was a nice little visit from our old friend.
In fact . . . here's the clip!!!!

You are absolutely right. The walk and everything is TM. I love Blue Bloods, but it's good to see a little TM thrown in.

I agree: Selleck broke out of the Frank Reagan character and threw in a little TM! What sold me was he gave a little bit of that TM giggle/laugh.

Digging up an ancient thread, but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who noticed this. I watched this one again recently on Netflix and remembered LMAO when I saw it the first time in November 2011. Blue Bloods actually has a ton of Magnum references, I think they even steal the occasional shot from Magnum. Tom probably does some of it on his own, but I think somebody on the production staff must be a hardcore fan.
