F.O.B. Honolulu

Good two-parter.

Wo Fat.

Magnum sightings: Carol Burnett’s fiancée from Rembrandt’s Girl and Island Hoppers!
Knocking my rubber chicken or my sloppy habits is within the rules, but you're attacking my character. I would like to think you don't mean that.

I would say it’s the most comprehensive I’ve seen.

It certainly is! Mike Quigley has done an outstanding job on that site and has actually gone back recently to expand his episode reviews to a new format from what it originally used to be. He has a discussion forum there too! I first discovered the site sometime around 1999/2000 and have been visiting it ever since. After viewing an episode I would go and check out his review of said episode. His episode reviews are a treasure trove of information!

The Gunrunner yesterday.

Found it average.

Ivan, you're so passionate I'm scared to give any episode a "Meh" rating now. :P

Magnum sightings: Lt. Tanaka (Kwan Hi Lim) and Robin's Nest again (some great shots).

That's right, T.Q. Better be very careful how you rate these. Remember, I know all your school boy tricks and a bamboo cage is not a good place for anyone this time of the year.

The Gunrunner is a good kidnap episode but it does get a bit convoluted with all the different parties involved and all their different motives. It certainly isn't on par with the classic "The Ransom" earlier this season. I do like the twist, however, when we find out that it was the husband who arranged the kidnapping. Pretty extreme thing to do, even when considering all the money he owed. Of course he didn't think it would spiral out of control the way it did. Also you forgot Paul Burke, who played the husband, also played 2 different admirals on MPI, one in "Memories are Forever" and one in Ivan's own "Did You See the Sun Rise?" :P

The next episode is even more average so hang in there because the one after that is a real corker!! I'm sure you'll love it! It even features the busy-body Clara from THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW in a humorous role!

Maybe the Coen brothers stole this for Fargo!

Dear Enemy

Bit of a confusing episode.

Not a lot of love for it on IMDb.

“My dear enemy” was a great closing line.

The Bomber and Mrs. Moroney

Enjoyed this episode.

Bringing it back to Danno’s shooting from a season or two was excellent.

Thought about the current anti-police sentiment these days.

The bomber assumed Danno couldn’t care less about shooting his brother... yet it tore him up inside.

Same today I’m sure vast majority of the time.

Yep you don't hear on the news what the police are going through. The media won't report that. You get the picture on the news of the police being just a bunch of racist trigger-happy cops. If a cop gets killed in some other city or state I sure don't hear about it on the news here where I live. But if a black man is killed by a WHITE cop the whole country hears about it. Notice also that you don't hear when a white person is killed by a cop. Because that doesn't sell a particular narrative. Same thing with black on black crime - that doesn't get reported either. Unfortunately that's the current climate we live in. Not a good time to be wearing the uniform, that's for sure.

Forgot to thank Sam for the link to the resource.

I like reading up on the episodes after I watch.

Scary how it’s framed that the bad guys (99% of the time) are always the victim because of the extremely rare bad cop.

CNN has reported on what happened to many Capitol Police officers for several days now. They’ve had stories about the officer who was crushed in the mob, the officer killed by the fire extinguisher, and about the officer who has resigned since the experience. They’re pretty heart wrenching stories. They’ve also covered the story of the officer who fired on and killed the woman rioter who was in the Air Force. I believe he was black and she was white. I’ve watched these myself and it’s not accurate to say they don’t report on these stories.
