On Pawn Stars next Monday Aug. 1st someone is bringing in the cannon from MPI to sell. I just saw the promo for the episode, they fire it too.

Ahh... Brian you beat me to the post! I saw this last night too and was going to post about it so all the Magnum Maniacs would be sure to watch. Assuming Rick and the guys buy the cannon, that means they'll re-sell it. So which one of us is going to buy it? ha~ha!

Pawn Stars is a great show! What an interesting family. Rick really knows his stuff. And the Old Man is a hoot! What a character!

Gotta catch the cannon episode!

Oh someone please tape this. I'm going back on the road tomorrow and will miss it. The thought that Higgin's "Teeny Tiny Toy cannon" is available to fans (who can afford it)!
I wonder if it still has the remains of the cement from "Paper War".

Here it is, too bad it is not mine. Found this on a website. "Here is the cannon in my collection...Very interesting is more recent expert evaluation revealing the orignal muzzle loading tube(barrel) by E.S. Hidden is Enock Hidden patent inventer of a cannon lock, and most likely as early as 1830s! WoW... and the modern breech loading mechanism, installed by Strong firearms Co. New Haven Conn. done between 1892 when designed and 1898 when they changed names to L.T. Snow! "

I wish it were mine but I will just watch Pawn Stars to see it.

I was going to post this as well....

The seller wants a boat load of money. I think an auction is his best bet.

I am guessing the show had mor ethan one cannon since the oneon the show wasnt filled with cement <wink>

Dang, I went to watch it last night and all I saw was Chumlee buying a $100 knockoff Gibson mandolin for $1800! :shock: Dang, even I could tell the Gibson logo and pick guard were not right. Laughed my ass off when the episode ended with him busking on the street with the mandolin to get money to pay back Rick and the Old Man! Of course that little bit was probably staged (Chum's got to be making at least six figures at this point, maybe seven, he could pay it back without even breaking a sweat), but it was still hilarious! Anyway, I apparently had the wrong time slot!

One other thing, the civil war/wild west expert who runs a museum, the guy with the long white beard and funny hat, man, he really knows his stuff! The guy is walking encyclopedia! And I love how he never puts a price on anything. He just tells you if it's real or not. :)

Chumlee is hilarious, and the guy from the Clarke County museum is pretty sharp. I think all of their experts are at the top of their games. I wsih I had the money for the cannon after seeing the epsiode!

The expert mention it could be worth $30,000 to $50,000 with a possibility of going higher in an auction setting($80,000) or at least something close to that. Rick's final offer was $15,000 and he wanted $35,000, No Sale.
