I was sad to hear this...

Probably because I was at the right age at the time Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is the film I always associate him with.
Hook would be another.

Don't forget Bob Hoskins played the tough cop in the Tom Selleck 1984 film "Lassiter".

A more memorable and at times hilarious performance by Bob for me was as Cher's love interest in "Mermaids" . Sad to see him go.
