Read a story in our local newspaper about the man who brought the first german beer to Hawaii. It was "Hannen Alt"

and it came in fact from Mönchengladbach, a town near Düsseldorf. Must have been in the seventies or early eighties. Funny thing is, the manager back then who was responsible for the deal now lives in our neighboorhood and my son delivers the sunday newspaper to him every week

Carmen, maybe you can hit him up for some free samples to try in your spare time. See if he still has an "in" at the brewery and convince them to start an Old Dusseldorf brand.

Beer is good.
