The actor best known around Magnum-Mania as Frank Peterson has died, age 85.

Even though the Frank Peterson character only appeared onscreen in Going Home, such was his combative presence as Thomas Magnum's stepfather that it always felt like the s.o.b. would show up again (though Frank Peterson was mentioned a few times in subsequent episodes by Thomas' shrinking violet of a mother).
David Huddleston was a prolific actor and was in everything from Magnum to The Big Lebowski.
