And that's Season 2 done.

If anyone has any of these books gathering dust on their shelf, and they have Magnum stories in them, please post them here!

According to IMDB, Joel Rogosin was supervising producer on the first 12 episodes of Season 3. His memoir, 'Writing A Life' was published in 2004.

In 2009, Hawaii jazz singer Jimmy Borges (2.1 Billy Joe Bob, 3.1 Did You see the Sunrise? Part 1, 5.12 Little Games, 6.16 "This Island Isn't Big Enough....") said in interviews that he was writing his memoir, 'Confessions Of A Saloon Singer'. It was never published for unknown reasons.

There are many autobiographies that seem to fall into this category, unfortunately. Are you interested in only autobiographies of MPI actors or also biographies? Biographies would also include many famous featured actors such as Orion Welles that I mentioned earlier.

On a side note, I just read about Selleck’s autobiography in the Parade section of the Sunday LA Times today and he is actively working on it.

I am interested in both biography and autobiography. As I find them, I am adding them all to the first post in the thread. I know Sinatra had loads of biographies - I just haven't got to Season 7 yet! I started with the ones I knew about (hence Sinatra being included - I was vaguely aware there were books on him), then went back to Season 1, Episode 1 and started Googling the cast and crew of each episode.

If you know of any biographies I have missed, do post them here. I will get to the Sinatra/Welles ones at some point!

I 've just found a biography of Tom Selleck from 1983. Had no idea about that one!

Jameson Parker (3.3 Ki'i's Don't Lie) - aka AJ Simon - was shot and almost killed in LA in 1992. In 2003 he published his memoir of the events that followed - 'An Accidental Cowboy'. As it's post 1992, there won't be any mention of Magnum. But I'll add it to the list anyway.

Nicholas Coster (3.17 I Do?) published his memoir 'Another Whole Afternoon' in March 2021.

Weird note. Coster was formerly married to actress Candace Hilligoss who wrote her memoir in 2017 titled 'The Odyssey and The Idiocy, Marriage to an Actor' in which she absolutely slates him. Ah, Hollywood marriages!

He never wrote a memoir, but this is worth mentioning: On 29th December, 1987, Walter Chotzen (he played Icepick in 3.5 Past Tense) was the subject of an 85 minute video interview about his life in Germany, escaping from there in the 1930s, and his life in the US. He had eight children!

Burt Kennedy directed many westerns in the 1960s and 1970s. He also directed episode 3.10, Mixed Doubles, his only Magnum credit. In 1997 he published his memoir, 'Hollywood Trail Boss'.

Kim RIchards (3.10 Mixed Doubles), one of the original child leads in Escape To WItch Mountain, has written her autobiography 'The Whole Truth: The Reality of It All. Originally intended to be published earlier this year, it is supposedly coming out in two weeks' time. According to media reports there was some doubt as to whether it would be published at all.

Kim has lead a controversial life (see her Wiki for more). In the last decade she has appeared in 128 episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

According to scriptwriter Mark Evanier in his tribute to the late Henry Gibson (3.10 Mixed Doubles), Henry was in the process of writing his autobiography. He asked Evanier for some notes on their time working on DIsney's cartoon series The Wuzzles. Alas, no autobiography was ever published. We can only guess how much of it he wrote.

I remember Henry Gibson from Innerspace and The Burbs. And Gremlins II. He was a favourite of director Joe Dante!

Marcia Strassman, perhaps best known for playing Rick Moranis' wife in the Honey I Shrunk The Kids films, played a guest role in 3.12 - Heal Thyself. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, prompting her to write her memoir 'Life with a Side Order of Cancer' in 2008.

Peter Brown (3.12 Heal Thyself), best known for Lawman and Maverick in the 1960s, wrote his memoir 'The Fastest Gun in Hollywood: The Life Story of Peter Brown' in 2013.
