I just ran across an interesting factoid and dont recall it ever being mentioned on this site so I thought I would share......

Both Mike Post (MPI theme song composer) and Tom Selleck graduated from US Grant High School in 1962! I wonder how large their senior class was and if they were friends, or at least knew eachother? If not I assume they must have figured it out by the MPI days. They had at least enough interaction to pose together for the theme song album cover.

I think we may have just discovered who the best sax player in Magnum's high school band was.

This may have been posted already, but Selleck was also a 1962 classmate of Micky Dolenz ("The Monkees")
