I think our Lieutenant Junior Grade needs a promotion.

"It's worth it just to see Erin Gray in those spandex outfits. Man, she looked great in those spandex uniforms. I have Buck Rogers on DVD and often pause it during her scenes in spandex. Oh man, the spandex on Wilma. Did I mention she looks great in spandex?"
I caught the pilot episode of Buck Rogers this past weekend, in all of Erin's spandex glory. and it's true: this series does not hold up at all, even as sci fi spoof.

You're right about the series not holding up well. That's a bit of an understatement, actually. But, Erin Gray still holds up pretty well. And that 'Space Vampire' episode still kind of creeps me out. That thing used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid. IMHO, that episode was the highlight of the series for me. It was the only episode that showed a bit of creativity with the atmosphere and music. And Wilma's orange two-piece spandex space suit which would make its only appearance.

I saw this article the other day. What a great idea she came up with.J.J. Walters wrote:Erin Gray @ Dragon*Con

Iconic!
I met her at a Friday the 13th convention and she is SO nice and we talked for a bit about Digger Doyle, although don't ask me exactly what she said, because I'd been drinking and because I have a horrible memory. I remember she told me it was meant to be a spin-off, which I knew.
We were standing by Corey Feldman's table and he brought her over and we overheard him say to his assistant, "This is Erin Gray... She's a legend."
It was awesome!
