That was a wonderful interview! Thanks for sharing it with us! I sat around all day yesterday, but yet I missed it. And... last night, everytime a commercial would come on, I would stand up, clap and yell Bravo! Bravo! to the tv laughing., with my husband sitting next to me and some kind of smirk on his face the whole time!!!! I loved Tom Selleck long before my husband, but as I always tell him, he IS my Tom Selleck!!!

The recognition of the positive portrayal of Vietnam Vets on Magnum. You can really tell how much that means to him in this piece.

I'm not a person to use the term hero lightly. I've always chosen those I look up to from a field of people I personally knew. First and foremost, my dad. Truly the greatest man I've ever known. A lot people choose celebrities as heroes, I never really understood that. Mostly celebrities are a shallow, self centered lot whose primary interest seems to be furthering their career. Tom Selleck is different. He's one of a very small core of actor/celebs who know the meaning of the words like honor, and class, and humility. This is exemplified by both the man, and his characters. He's truly a great man. Mr. Selleck is now the age that my dad was when he passed away, and I'm happy, and proud to count him as one of my heroes.James J. Walters wrote:Loved it!
