I went with good genes. He reminds me a bit of Sean Connery (except that TS still has his hair). I think one can see that he has aged, but that he dyes his hair keeps the "younger than he is" look going.
I think, had he let his hair go natural, he'd look older, but more weathered. I wouldn't be surprised if his ranch and farming plays a hand in keeping his looks as well. I think the natural work, in natural light, keeps the body working better.

I went with good genes, too. I think he would look more natural without the hair color, but that's just me. His dad looked great the time(s) he was on MPI, hence the good genes. As Conch said, hard work on the ranch has helped keep TS young.

Okay, MPI blunder here, what episode was his father in, and what character did he play? I know there was a pohto of his grandfather in one of the episodes he went back to Tidewater, but I was unaware his father was in an episode, or I knew and forgot.MPS wrote:I went with good genes, too. It was in the one where he went home for his grandfather's funeral and his class reunion (and he had such a hard time with his stepfather, and the missing Lincoln letter, etc.). I believe there were home movies of the grandfather, and that's who was played by the real TS father. And he looks pretty wrinkled, though he certainly "kept his figure," even a little better than TS has.

I laughed at some of those comments on that website. I was surprised most of them were on the favorable side. People can be really nasty on there, but for the most part he seems well liked (very, very!) by lots of women.
I think it's mostly good genes but I do wonder if he's had anything done on the side. That 2008 picture looks like it was taken from a distance, then zoomed in so it's a little blurry and not true to his real looks. A close-up would have shown more wrinkles. I think when you look at him in the Stone movies, I would say he has not had any "anti-aging" aids. Of course he looks great, but I wish he would let his hair gray a bit. I love gray hair.

I say "good genes" as well. I agree with IKWYT in that his face doesn't have the stretched look and cat eyes that you see on many stars that have had a procedure done. It would be intersting if someone is good with photoshop and they can morf his 1980's longer hair style and get rid of his chin stubble on his recent picture. I'm betting you could truly see how he has aged well.........
