Nice crew jacket on eBay. I am not bidding on this. I think it was posted about a month ago at twice this price. It also inludes a bio of the owner, a stuntman who doubled for Larry.

Christmas is just around the corner!!

Neat item, but I'd rather own a prop from the show.

Don't know why, but it doesn't excite me.

Well, I've taken a new attitude about "crew gifts" since seeing some of them. True, they may be something we as viewers never saw so we were unaware of them. But for that very reason, they become appealing to me. They were a way for the people who produced the show to evidence to the crew how important they were to the show. There were usually Christmas gifts to the crew and end-of-season gifts, according to Michael. Granted that makes for a lot of gifts throughout the run of the show, and I don't know if every TV show does this. If not, then they are very special.

I'd love to have this jacket and wear it! I just don't have a spare $255! Maybe if the seller gets no bids again, he'll reduce the price again and then maybe it'll be more in my range. I just find it much more appealing than wearing a logo jacket that merely advertises a product I've already bought -- free advertising!! Like wearing a Harley-Davidson jacket -- or anything else with a brand name on it. I realize there's a certain status in showing off that you can afford Izod shirts or Calvin Klein/Guess? jeans, etc., but if I'm going to wear a logo, I'd rather it be an MPI logo that was given only to crew members than something anyone can buy! It got rather unattractive when Tommy Hilfiger clothes became "the uniform of the Atlanta criminal." Not the best advertising, heh? The Tommy Hilfiger Company was NOT happy about that and took a big, negative hit in sales, at least in Atlanta, as soon as that hit the airwaves to the general public. You almost never see the TH logo in Atlanta anymore!

I agree with you golf! I'd be proud to wear it. I could probably scrounge up $255 from somewhere, but I couldn't possibly justify paying that much for a jacket when I don't even have a car to drive! I have a Disney jacket that I paid $300 for way back when I actually had a job and a car to drive! (see picture of the back, below)

Carmen,

Yes, it would probably just about "swallow" me - but then I'd just hope I would look like a "cute, tiny little thing" with this big ole MPI jacket on . . . .

Probably more of chance of that if I were 40 years younger!

I'm with you on wearing status symbol brand names, Golf. I have always said if they want me to advertise their brand, give me the clothing article and pay me an advertising fee.........(Motorcycle Rallies I attend of course are exempt..LOL!)

Okay, someone bid on it, so no reduced price next time. Is the bidder one of us? I hope so.
