Hello from Spain

#1 Post by Robin Master's Guest »

Hello. Sorry for my english.
I'm from Catalunya (Spain) and I'm a lover of Magnum, p.i. series.
I saw, for the first time Magnum, p.i. in 1985 or 1986 dubbed in catalan. The serie was aired in TV3, the catalan television, and at the same time in Galicia and Pais Vasco (I do'ny know what's thats names in english) in gallego and vasc idioms.
After was aired in spanish in others parts of Spain. With the same dubber for Tom Selleck of the catalan version.
Congratulations for the web and this forum.

Sorry for my english.

Buenas tardes, Robin Master's Guest! Welcome to the forum!

The English for Vasco is Basque (which is probably the French spelling). And (I had to look this one up) the English for Gallego is Galician (my dictionary says it's a language closely related to Portuguese).

Any time that you are not certain how to say something in English, just post it in Spanish, and we will try to help.

Bienvenidos, Robin Master's Guest! My honeymoon (ten years ago) was spent in Madrid and it was indeed a thrill! I'm new here, too, and have enjoyed everyone's insightful and humorous comments.

Hey, there's a useful word! Forero means someone on a forum, right? So would I be a forera?

Are there any English terms that mean "a member of a generic forum"? I can't think of any.

Forumite.
The answer is obvious, old man. Logic is irrelevant. It's simply Tropical Madness. (J.Q. Higgins)
