Hi guys,
I've finally put together a page for "The Lads". Take a look at it and let me know if you'd like to have anything added, or changed.

Thanks
"Zeus, Apollo, Patrol!"

Hey that's awesome, James.
Something that always gets me laughing is the cooking that Higgins tends to do for them- or the suggestions he gives to Magnum to prepare their meals if he is away.
Maybe you could include some of their favorite dishes to show that these were Dobermans with tastes possibly exceeding Magnums?

Very nice! Did they appear less and less as the show went on? I'm in the middle of season 7 and it seems like I haven't seen as much of them lately.
A list of all shows they appeared in would be nice, along with the parts they played - harassing Magnum, giving him the evil eye, patrolling the grounds, sleeping in Higgins' study, chasing intruders, getting fed, pet, drugged / shot etc.

That would be fun to read through. I don't want to create too much work for you though James!
And their dining habits would be a good addition. Whenever I see their meat being cut up I think to myself "that looks darn good, I wish I had that tonight for dinner!"

Phew... so I'm not the only one.
I love when Higgins talks to the Lads like they have refined taste in art and literature too... Are they the only characters to enjoy his stories of overseas campaigns?

Much like trying to document all of the artifact changes in Higgins' study, I just don't have the time or energy to go through all 162 episodes to determine when and where "The Lads" appeared! It's a daunting task to say the least. Anybody else want to volunteer?
Regarding the meals, the only ones I can recall are "steaks" and "sirloin tips", but I'm sure there were more. Didn't they dine on Magnum's shoe one time? In any event, this is what I added to the page:
"The Lads" are also accustomed to dining on fine cuisine that is lovingly prepared by Jonathan Quayle Higgins (and sometimes begrudgingly by Thomas Magnum). They usually are served prime cuts of marinated steaks, or braised sirloin tips! Yes, life is good for Zeus and Apollo!

It appears the first dog trainer/animal supervisor, Karl Lewis Miller passed away way back in 2008......

Love Zeus and Apollo in Season Three's "Foiled Again." That's the episode when the lads follow Thomas all over the estate when Higgins is tossed in the slammer. Thomas seems a bit apprehensive still about their company. Thought the dogs really played a role in the story of this episode more than they might have in others. I love dogs, and my wife is always worried about me bringing home dobermans now that I've become a MPI addict.

This is absolutely hilarious to me as I have several times viewed the steak being prepared for the Lads and thought, "Hmmm, I would eat that in a heartbeat!" especially in season 3's "Black on White". Higgins is talking to Rick over an intercom as he is trapped in the guesthouse with TM. Rick is holding what looks to be a darn good sirloin or ribeye steak on a platter and the lads are holding their dishes in their mouths as he takes cooking instructions from Higgins. Priceless! I had posted somewhere (can't remember what episode) asking for confirmation that the Lads were saved by Selleck and Hillerman from being written out of the show!! I knew I had heard this somewhere and another member pointed out the explanation per Larry Manetti's book that they indeed did make sure the Lads remained on the show. Im so happy they were saved, I am a huge dog lover and they added a TON of fun and great laughs to the show and it wouldn't have been the same without them!
