Universal is releasing the complete season 6 DVD set on February 27, 2007.

It looks like they are finally picking up the pace with these. Hopefully, the entire series will be released by this fall.

Yeah, it seems like they are getting released closer together. This got me thinking though, what bonus feature is Universal going to include on season 8? If they keep up the pattern it would be an episode from season 1.

I'm hoping that they will find some footage of award shows or old interviews. I'm sure that there is footage that they could use for a better bonus feature. A blooper reel would be cool!

I really, really hope they have some "special" material for the Season Eight DVD. Outtakes, Bloopers, Interviews, something. I would love to see some sort of cast reunion show, which includes Donald and some of the key producers and writers (Reuben Leder, Chris Abbott, etc.). A show like this deserves one. The fans deserve one!

If Universal follows the routine they've set with the first five seasons, the 'bonus feature' will be an episode from season seven. However, I can't find anything online that lists any bonus features at all. Amazon's product details don't show anything.

Amazon recently announced that the bonus episode for the 'Complete Sixth Season' DVD is .......... Little Girl Who (7.7)!

I was really hoping for Paper War, but I'll take this. It's a great, classic episode.

I just noticed that Universal will be releasing Season 4 of the Rockford Files on May 15. Pretty sudden, considering that Season 3 was just released with Magnum's Season 6.

Hopefully, this suggests we won't have long to wait for Season 7, although I suspect it will be out by June/July either way.

Yeah, June probably. I still gotta order Season Six.

Speaking of the Season Six DVD, did anyone else notice the image editing of Hillerman's picture on the cover? It's the exact same image they used for the Season Four DVD cover, with a digitally added jacket.

He does look kind of weird in that jacket.
