Further evidence that
Magnum is still alive and well nearly twenty years after its final episode .....
Magnum: The Ride (Minnesota State Fair, 2004)

Obviously, the ride is just your average "spin-n-puke", but it's actually themed and named after Thomas Magnum! I tell you what, if I was strolling through a state fair and came across this I would about flip out!
The giganto forehead on Magnum
is a little distracting, however.
There's actually a POV AVI video of the ride
here. Warning: It's nausea inducing.

Heh, what's messed up
Walt? The fact that someone actually themed a "spin-n-puke" ride to Magnum? The horrible artwork of Magnum's head? The video? Or all three?
A friend of mine said he kind of looks like a clown, with the exaggerated forehead and the bushy, pointing-upwards, side hair. That's right, they turned our hero into a clown!
Still, I find it pretty cool that in this day and age someone actually themed a ride to Magnum, however bad it may be! I never would have expected that in a million years!

All three.

Don't get me wrong though. If I saw that ride, I would put on my Detroit hat and ride it till I puked.
Or at least get my picture taken in front of it.

i saw the exact same ride at the florida state fair, last january...i came around the corner and yes, my jaw did drop!!, but yeah, that airbrush artist gave him the forehead of a monkey!!???

at the bottom of the ride, there was a short blurb about the show, and what the ride was based on.. kinda cool.

I love scrolling through old posts . . .
What a picture! You can tell that airbrusher has talent, but he makes TM look like one of the Hulks old enemies, the Leader!!!
(Please tell me there's another comic book geek on here who know's the Leader!!!)
It almost looks like it was meant to be viewed on an angle, where the elongated upper head would then be in proportion.

Now that was funny as hell! I'll have to look for this at the NC State Fair in October. I usually don't go though so I may have to tell the wife to keep her eyes open. It would be better if they were bumper cars. You could have the Ferrari, Rick's Mercedes, the chopper, and the Audi Higgins drives just to name a few.

What a great idea!! And they`d be supposed to play only 80th music!! And every 15 minutes the MPI theme music (both) Great way to spend money - drive around for hours
