Magnum Mania!

#1 Post by T.Q. »

Want to express my appreciation again for this site.

Has been one of my favourites for a long time.

Every time I rewatch Magnum P.I. (every 4/5 years) I always have ended up here. A LOT! :P

I even once suggested adding a sound file... "Ahi Sushi Delivery...". Long time ago.

Remember JJ?

Anyways, was wondering what the powers that be here (seem to recall JJ sold the site) will do with regard the new series.

Will the new show ( ), Magnum, Higgins, Rick, T.C., etc. become part of this site?

Or will Magnum Mania! stay solely about the original (and no doubt best) Magnum P.I.?

Just curious.

Knocking my rubber chicken or my sloppy habits is within the rules, but you're attacking my character. I would like to think you don't mean that.

Hey there, Tran Quoc! Welcome to the site! I appreciate the kind words. I'm glad you enjoy the site. It's been a pleasure and an honor to have maintained this site over the years.

I added the "sushi delivery" audio clip to the site years ago. Probably 6 or 7 years ago if I had to guess. It's in the 'Audio' section. :)

To answer your question, the site is about "All Things Magnum P.I.", so that includes the reboot. I've already added a 'Reboot Talk' section to the forum and info about the reboot on the main page. As soon as the reboot is aired (assuming it will be picked up), I will add the reboot to the Episode Guide and other info and pics. ;)

There is a 'Magnum Mania!' section on the forum, so this should really go there. Make sure you put your posts in the appropriate sub-forum.

I wish there were more sites/forums for other classic tv shows like this one.

We should start posting video clips of MPI now that we have the ability to post Youtube vids. It might save on the site's bandwidth a bit too.

Thanks for the reply.

Are you personally happy about this reboot? You seem okay with it.

Sorry about the post. Didn’t see the “Magnum Mania! Talk”.

Am I ok with it? Time will tell my friend! I'm of the opinion that no matter what happens with the reboot (weather it sucks or it's great), the original will ALWAYS exist, and will ALWAYS be separate from the reboot! We will ALWAYS have the original. That can't be taken away! The reboot is a separate entity. If it's good, that's great, and will more than likely draw more people (the younger people) to the original show, which would be a good thing, IMHO. So, I guess, yes, I'm ok with it (as long as it's good). :)
