LOL! Good analogy. I just can't get on board with it because a favorite TV show is comforting, and a bastardized version of it is antagonizing. The thing is, I have liked some reboots but none of them were reboots of my all time fave!

LOL! Good analogy. I just can't get on board with it because a favorite TV show is comforting, and a bastardized version of it is antagonizing. The thing is, I have liked some reboots but none of them were reboots of my all time fave!

The MPI reboot will be like the H50 reboot, made to appeal to a younger audience - those who never lived during MPI's original run, and that's understandable... it will be fun to watch what they do with it. But as 308GUY said, it's a bastardization and as long as I'm going into it with that mindset... that the two shows are not the same, then ok. One thing's for sure, they can never take away the feeling that the original MPI gave me when it originally aired, and still gives me when I watch it.

I like seeing in Lenkov's Instagram that he's a big Magnum fan. Big enough to have bought his Rolex because of the show!

The article states the "new logo" has a picture of Diamond Head at sunset. Thats' Rabbit Island, not Diamond Head. Perhaps they will be utilizing The Estate or at least a house on the stretch of beach......

I think you are correct, Styles. I'm sorry, I am just not thinking straight due to this reboot. I'm excited, cautious, hopeful and I am thinking that I am going to develop a huge crush on Juliet Higgins, perhaps start calling her a dowager and imagining doing a reverse Pygmalion on her!
