Ahhhhh!
ALL these articles are just great......but THIS one.......THIS one REALLY makes my pulse race!LOL
If only the prices hadn't gone through the roof in the last couple years.....ok...I know what you're thinking...and you're right...wouldn't make a hill o' beans difference for me....I still couldn't buy it!
But hey.....a guy can dream can't he?
Now where'd I put that lottery ticket.....
Don't wear yourself out RG...but do keep those articles coming....just can't get enough of this stuff!

And here's one you'll like Kenji...Eve is surprised seven years after MPI ended that fans are still visiting Pahonu. "It's almost like they were still filming"...."It's amazing how they get so excited" she said. Little did she know......

Another excellent find RG!
You're right, Eve had no idea how many more fans were coming down the road (or down her driveway).
It sounded like she enjoyed the experience at first, but 35+years later.....YIKES!!!
I can picture the party crashers sneaking into these events with their weak excuses. Anyone's patience would wear thin with people like that.....Eve really did put up with a lot and had the patience of a saint!!!!!!
Interesting that she lived there all of her life......I'm surprised she didn't live somewhere else for a few of her younger years when her father died.....living at her step mother's (Barbara Cox) place. I might be just splitting hairs......she has lived/stayed or owned Pahonu in some form or another for most of her life.

You are so right Mrs. H. and I agree with your observation whole heartedly.
It occurs to me as I am sure it has to most of our MPI brethren while perusing these articles. There has never ever been any hint down through the decades of any impropriety on the part of Tom Selleck. He is obviously a man of real character honour, integrity, humility, loyalty, self parody, etc. All of these characteristics were so evident and ever present in his portrayal of Magnum.

Doc your going to be busy for awhile installing all of these excellent finds in the Article Section.
I could see Eve being paid $1,000/day for use of the estate...very decent money for back in the 80's.....plus they would've maintained the grounds for her to during shooting. Interesting to finally know who the real Kenji was on MPI......landscaper, Clarence Maki.
I would love to see an unofficial Magnum t-shirt and hat that the truck drivers were peddling behind their rigs!!!
I'm sure T.S. would've been really stressed during that last shoot trying to keep a lid on the story while juggling all of his other duties on the show, but he pulled it off.
