Memorable episodes outside the Top 40

So! I've been roaming across the Magnum seasons for a few weeks now, choosing episodes at random whenever a title catches my eye and now that I've hit all of my favourites and a few I didn't really remember, I'd love to hear your opinions on some memorable episodes that aren't in the MM top 40.

Whether the episode is memorable for 'good' or 'bad' reasons, whether you remember it for even a single scene only or maybe a great guest star, whatever the reason, I'd love to hear it so I can find a few gems :D

I will give you two of my most memorable that aren't in the top 40.

Don't Say Goodbye - Ted Danson was a great "bad guy" ... I just loved to despise him in that episode. He got his just desserts at the end.

The Curse of the King Kamehameha Club - I liked Gretchen Corbett and the ending. I think it also set the tone for Rick as a flake.

To be honest with you, just about everything in the first season is very memorable to me for various reasons.

Thanks, KingKC!

Love those two episodes - saw them both recently though :D Definitely agree with you re: Ted, ace villain!

And was Gretchen also in The Look?

Thanks for the great list, marlboro :)

I've actually seen all of them recently except for Legacy From a Friend and Murder by Night, so I'll definitely have to add them to my list!

When I re-watched Double Jeopardy I enjoyed it a lot and same with Texas Lightning and The Last Page especially.

Your're right...she was....I forgot about that but The Look wasn't a real memorable episode for me.

I agree with you about the first season, it's my fave.

Off the top of my head my list would include those two as well as Never Again .... Never Again and Jororo Kill.

Wait - "Never Again" isn't in the top 40? How is that possible?

"The Hotel Dick" and "The Kona Winds" have been in my personal top ten for quite some time. It's reassuring to see that others also think highly of them as well.

Yeah, I'd have thought Never Again was in the Top 40 too :)

I just skimmed through the list before I commented. I didn't realize that the list actually contained a half dozen "almost top 40" at the very end. "Holmes is Where the Heart is" and "The Elmo Ziller Story" are in that "almost" section of the list. They would both be in my top 40. "Holmes" would probably be in my top 10 or 15.

I thought the last 6 were a tie for fortieth with Try to Remember rather than an "almost Top 40". Elmo Ziller and Beauty Knows No Pain are definitely in my Top 10 of most memorable.

The Look was great second time around, especially enjoyed the preparation for Higgins' not quite 'birthday' which was a real highlight :D
