Need some direction, if able

Hello. I need some help.
Let me start by saying that my dad (64 yrs old) and I (44 yrs) are HUGE fans of Magnum PI. So much so that for years our Christmas and birthday gifts to each other have been "Magnum themed" (gorilla masks, rubber chickens, miniature Ferrari cars, hats etc). I even made some homemade beer and applied the "Old Dusseldorf" label to them.
This year, I bought him the 8 dvd box set so he can finally stop watching the show on VCR tapes. In an effort to spice that up I decided to create a small episode guide. Well, once I got started, that small guide became a 252 page 95K word tome.
Since it became such an undertaking I decided to take it a step farther and have it bound (rather than my original intention of using a staple).
Having done that I thought it might be cool if I could include an autographed Magnum picture of Tom Selleck. So my question is, does anyone know the best way to get a letter/photo to him?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
This is the info I got from another fan source, I have never used it, so really can't speak to it's validity or worth, but hey....it's worth a shot!
Stamped-self addressed (min.8 1/2" X 4") envelope with request and letter/picture (with "Do Not Bend" on it..)
Tom Selleck
National Rifle Association of America
11250 Waples Mill Road
Fairfax,VA 22030
the same source also listed this address for fan mail/autograph requests:
Blue Bloods
Tom Sellck
CBS Television Studios
190 Diamond Street, 3rd FL
Brooklyn, NY 11222
Again, I have no idea if either of these are valid, but it shouldn't take more than a few minutes of time and a stamp to find out.
You might also try contacting Larry Manetti, who might be able to help with your request, maybe point you in the right direction? He does a radio show, (can probably find info online), and he also has a website where he sells copy of his book..."Aloha Magnum" and other MPI related memorabilia.
Just happened to jot down those first two addresses when I ran across them, so it's a complete coin toss or shot in the dark, but it's worth a try!
Good luck, and BTW, Larry's book also has an episode guide included in it.

Thank you for that. I have Larry's book and it's where I got the bulk of my data for my guide. Of course, since it's for dad, I had to personalize a lot of it with our own memories and running gags related to specific scenes and/or episodes.
I will try both of those addresses and if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.

Just an update for anyone else interested.
I ended up going to Larry Manetti's website and sending an email to the posted address. Imagine my surprise when I got an email back from Larry himself the next morning. It was brief but cool nonetheless.
What great fans you are!! I do have a cast picture but you would have to hunt down the other guys for their signature.
Thanks
Larry
Now, if only the other three could be so easy....

Great to hear stuff like that.
Larry seems to be a "hands-on" kind of guy. Not sure if it's actually him or someone he has looking after such things, but either way, you can almost rest assured that if you inquire to Larry, you will get a response!
When I was looking for a team ring a few years ago, I contacted him and he wrote back saying he only had two screen worn rings left, and also quoted a price he'd let each of them go for. Needless to say, they were both out of my price range, but the point is, he is NOT unapproachable and seems to actually enjoy contact with fans.
Had to wonder when he guest starred in the new H-50 wearing his team ring, if it might have been one of the ones he gave a quote on!
I've listened to a couple of his radio broadcasts, and they are always entertaining...especially liked the one when he had TS on!
Hope you are able to track down what you need, thanks for the update.

This is a great post, Turf. I really love to hear of the camaraderie between you and your dad over Magnum. What an amazing gift you're putting together. I'm sure he'll be blown away. Good luck in your autograph hunt and let us know if any of the addresses are successful.
