fan fiction: Magnum P.I. vs James Bond

#1 Post by marko5 »

I love this site. Glad that Mr. Walters and others put it up.

I wrote some fan fiction and posted it on my Facebook page. It is just for fun, not profit. But I would love to hear your feedback... did I capture the essence of the show?

Like Magnum, I'm a Veteran and recovering with a bit of PTS myself. I write these stories for release - though this one has nothing to do with Iraq or Vietnam. 8)

Thanks. Mark

Welcome marko5. Many good folks here and more info about MPI than you could ever want to know or absorb!

Your story was pretty good, will read the second part whenever you get it done. I'm not a writer so can't really give it an adequate "critique", but I figure sooner or later, Doc or BWheelz will chime in, both of whom have written some pretty good stuff. I'd listen to what they have to say. I thought the basic concept was pretty entertaining, combining the two "adventurous" studs in one story, and TM getting "shoved aside" by RM and/or JQH in favor of Bond....James Bond...that's a hoot to be sure!

I say keep at it, sooner or later somebody's gonna make a new series, or revisit the old one with new people, there's just too much lingering interest on the part of too many people all over the world for it to be just dropped and forgotten.....there's money to be made! :magnum:

Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to your next chapter.

:higgins:

BTW, Thank you for your service! I hope you are able to cope and reinvest yourself into your life and home and can find happiness, put the past behind you, extracting that which will help you move forward, leaving the rest. "Don't look behind you....you're not going that way..."
"C'mon TC...nothing can go wrong!"
