On December 11th, it will be the 34th anniversary, of the debut of Magnum pi! I can remember watching it that Thursday night, and thinking; Where did this show come from? And it's so true; women loved him, and guys wanted to be him! I don't know how many mustaches were grown because of that show? How many men started wearing ball caps? and how many Hawaiian shirts were sold? Thursday night became the one night of the week I had to stay home! Didn't want to miss Magnum! What a great time!

The show along with TS definitely took the hawaiian shirt from the image of a 50's and 60's era, backyard BBQ, three martini nerd dad to where it actually looked cool.............

Thanks LN Dobie!

It's something I've been doing each day for the last few years. I've been posting them daily on my tiki bar's FB page if you're interested.

Wow!I hate FaceBook with a passion and just recently signed up as needed to access an app I ned for work through FaceBook. At least I have a reason now to log on tock out your daily haiku and to look at your great pictures of "The Key", pictures of Jimmy Buffett concerts and what looks to be some incredible meats barbecued to perfection.......... 8)
The shots of Flamingo Key in the summer with all of the foliage are incredible, don't be surprised if sometime during the summer of 2015 you hear motorcycle rumble up donning a 60 year old kid at heart sporting an out of fashion mustache and grey hair that is way too long for his age.......

Summer beckons me

I just saw you liked it this morning! It was a quiet summer due to home renovations taking over the first half and mom getting sick being the priority since the beginning of August. Looking forward to making up for lost time starting this spring. :D

If you are ever in NYC "in season" you better let me know! :magnum:
