Last month I walked around the Natatorium which has been fenced off for quite awhile now and witnessed first hand how tired the pool section has become. The façade still looks in decent shape, maybe they can compromise and save that section.
Removing the pool will cost millions which they will be forced to do at sometime, but installing a new one will cost millions more maybe they could rip out the pool section and install a tidal pool similar to Pahonu (just a rock surround)....still a boat load of money, but possibly a bit cheaper than pumping in concrete. I think it will stay fenced off and die a slow death....I hope that I'm wrong.

Come on, how can they act like that? Signed the petition with a wish they dont demolish the memorial. Hello?!, a WW I tribute to hawaiian men.
