Looking for Space . . . a little different . . .

#1 Post by ConchRepublican »

In browsing the interwebs I came across this instrumental version of John Denver's "Looking for Space". I hear a little bit of M*A*S*H's "Suicide Is Painless" in the arrangement.

It seems to me this would have been nice to include somehow in Resolutions.

I feel like I am walking through a J.C. Penney store searching for pants (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). It's ok, though. Just ok. It doesn't move me like the original, but it's kind of interesting to hear. :)

Mine's in a pharmacy... Waiting in line to get my script filled and listening to someone ask 5000 questions to the pharmacist.

I love you Michelle, more than anyone I've ever known, and I'm letting you go

Exactly! They could have worked it into the background somewhere as a nod to Limbo. Not many would even notice, but we Maniacs would, and it would have been an "oh, look what they did there!" moment.

Oddly enough... Today, I found myself in a pharmacy standing behind someone asking questions of the pharmacist for about 10 minutes.

I love the scene, and like the usage of the song. The Muzak version was lukewarm (to me)... But I totally get what you're laying down, Conch! I'd pick up on that in a heartbeat.
