Hack journalism at its best. Missed the boat fairly completely; A good chance to do an accurate article on Aloha shirts but comes up short. so sad.

Yes, the "Hawaiian" Aloha shirt! Invented by a Chinese merchant, who made them by sewing old kimono fabric together!

the lineage could be pake/japanee/Hawaiian aloha shirt.
Created in Hawai'i from Kimono fabric by a Pake.
