Hello All! I guess in my time away from Magnum fandom (I used to be on Magnum Mania as BobBlusoe a couple years ago) Universal released a "The Best of the 80's: Magnum, P.I." DVD set. I was wondering if the version of "Resolutions" on the disc is the original, full version or the Syndication version. I still haven't bought the 8th season yet, but I know that the version on the 8th season set is the syndication version, and I'd be willing to buy the "best of the 80's" set if it included the full version.
Thanks!

Good question! I havn't been able to find out. "Don't Eat the Snow in Hawaii" and "Memories Are Forever" have some missing scenes and are apparently the syndicated versions. So "Resolutions" is more than likely the syndicated version as well.

Maybe you should consider to buy the R2 Version of the DVDs. At least the ones sold here in Germany are all the original, uncut versions and noth those syndication ones.

Is region 2 PAL or NTSC? If its the latter I might think about doing that with S8.

There's no difference with DVDs. I know it was an issue with VHS tapes, but I think the only regional barrier these days is the number code. I have a ton of Region 1 DVDs (including my Magnum discs) and they play fine on my PAL tv here in Europe. (region-free DVD player, btw).
