Magnum Mania!

has anyone caught this before.
in the pilot episode don't eat the snow in hawaii
w.k. stratton ens. healy tells magnum and i quote
i just hope i don't wind up on the beach.
and in season 2 episode wave goodbye
at the end thats exactly were he winds up.
he is standing on the beach when magnum confronts him and he confesses and then is arrested.
did the writers do this on purpose or by accident
there seems to be little hidden things like this i have found in some of the episodes.

The phrase "on the beach," when said by a sailor, usually means that they will be kicked out and will be - on the beach.

Also can be used as saying that they will be given constant shore duty, and no seatime, or will not be assigned to a ship.
