Not bad. I know the knock-offs can be pretty good quality, but I still wouldn't want to swim with one. Problem is, once it stops working, you're screwed. At least this one has a warranty.

Exactly...LOL..was afraid to get mine wet but littel by little..LOL..have had mine wet MANY times and no problems...

I got one like this one when it was offered a couple of years ago at $9.99, and I've been snorkeling with it several times (when I was on Oahu, though I didn't snorkel at the tidal pool at Robin's Nest, I was about 500 yards west of Robin's Nest, and at Hanauma Bay, plus St. Thomas), and it's still going strong. So for under $25, it's hardly a major investment.

This www.rolex2u.com site has gotten both good and bad “reviews” online, but I have not had a problem with them, and I have bought two watches from them. I got a Yachtmaster gold-plated watch with a gold face (because I like yellow gold more than stainless steel or silver or white gold), but I broke the first one I got (TOTALLY MY fault, not a problem with the watch. The watch is pretty large on my small, female wrist [Larry says it’s like snorkeling with an anchor strapped to my arm], and getting out of the car in Aruba, I caught it on the edge of the exterior rearview mirror and popped the stem off. Found the stem, but must have been missing a spring or some other part because, though I could put the stem back in place, I couldn’t re-set the watch for date or time. I figured it would cost $100 to have it repaired, so for that amount I could get a new one, so I did). Haven’t been snorkeling with the second one yet (just got it yesterday), but from what I learned from my research online about these replica Rolex watches, there are some dealers selling them in the $800-900 range, and those sellers claim their watches are REALLY Swiss-made, like a Rolex, and really waterproof, and they say the sellers who are selling their replicas in the $110 range aren’t the same quality. So maybe it’s a roll of the dice in getting the $110 one whether you get a really good one or a lousy one. Maybe I was just lucky, but the one I got was perfectly waterproof – I’ve snorkeled with it at least six times with no problems. So I got the $900 quality one for $100? Maybe so, even the $900 sellers say it can happen, just don’t count on it – I’ll find out when I go snorkeling with this new, replacement one the week of July 4. But I’m quite happy with my “Rolodex” watch (as Larry calls it). So if you want to be conservative, get the Persio; if you want the “Rolodex,” ask for it for Father’s Day!

don't want to sound like an envious bastard, but wanted to give my 2 cents about Replica watches:

Regardless if you are watching fake T-Shirts, counterfeit Louis Vuitton bags, Viagra or copy sunglasses over the net or fake watches, it's an illusion, that the clever chinese guy is building them up in his spare time in his own kitchen.

We are talking here about massive investments behind all this with breathtaking margins.

Now you guys ask yourselfs, who may have an interest in realizing huge margins by simply violating other's copyrights.

I'd hate seeing this fabulous webpage turning into an advertisement platform for this kind of shady business.

Golf I bought that watch but didn't have much luck with it. Luckily I had only about twenty dollars invested in it. I hope yours last longer than mine.

I assume you mean the Persio one. Sorry to hear that, glad you didn't have a lot invested (but then I have a LOT of cheap watches -- all of 'em work fine, and I've replaced a LOT of batteries, but they just keep ticking as long as I give them a new $5 battery about once a year --not really a major investment for the pleasure of wearing lots of different watches -- I tend to treat them as "bracelets" that keep time). My Persio is still going strong, probably about two years old now. Guess I'm just lucky with cheap watches . . . . Nice to know I'm lucky with SOMETHING.

Glad your Persio still works. I wore it for a day and th esecond hand fell off. Then te strap broke. I bought a rubber strap, and then it dies. I may still try and replace the battery one day and give it a go. For twenty bucks I wasn't too upset. I'm glad your watch is still holding up!

I agree with you Bond. But don't lose any sleep over Rolex's profits. I pass by their headquarters on my way to work and the lawns are impeccably manicured and the fountains are still spraying. Trust me, they're doing just fine!

I am not so concerned about Rolexes profits.

I am more concerned, where all the profits from the fake mafia are going to and believe me, their business is far better than Rolex's.

By the way, did you know that the Rolex profits are given 100% to the Hans Wilsdorf foundation?

Just did a little surfing to see what you're talking about. Wikipedia (admittedly not the most reliable source) says that a portion of the profits go there because Wilsdorf donated his Rolex shares to the foundation when he died. Don't know what proporton of shares that is though.

The Wikipedia article about Rolex is full of flaws.

From what I know , all Rolex stakes belong to the H. Wilsdorff foundation still.

If Che wore a GMT Master it is a shame. Horrible to think that a murdering socialist pig was a fan of the same watch I proudly own. I wish all the lefty's that wear Che T-shirts and think he was a hero would actually read some history and understand the horrible things he did and stood for.

A second look at non-wikipedia sources shows that Guevera's watch might have actually been a Submariner. Yet more proof that you can't put too much faith into that handy resource.

Still, whether GMT or Submariner it's hard to understand the rationale that allows a "socialist" leader to wear such an iconic symbol of capitalist elitism. One website says the photo below was actually used as a Rolex advertisement. Is this possible??
