After 2+ years of searching Ebay for TM's sunglasses, I found a cheap source. I got one pair for the opening bid price. The seller has more. It's a 2-4 week delivery from Maylasia, but for the price they're worth the wait. If anyone is interested here's the link.

seller from Malaysia??

I would not be surprised, if the sunglasses turn out to be fakes.
As far as I am aware, RayBan is still doung this particular model, so, I'd rather get them in one of the Ray Ban stores in an outlet mall.

A couple years back I bought a cheap pair of Ray Ban Shooters just like these (even came with the same packaging/case). I ran across them at a Amish flea market of all places (stopped to buy some jam and I found a Magnum score)! I was happy with the quality, although I suspected they were knock-offs given the price ($20). I was pleased though because I really didnt buy them to wear on a regular basis, they were ment as an addition to my "magnum gear" collection and it allowed me to avoid paying top buck elsewhere.

I hope the pair you just purchased work out as well.

They arrived today. I compared thm to my $130 Ray Ban outdoorsman glasses I bought from a local dealer, and these appear to be of better quality. They have all the BL stamps and Ray Ban identification. I'm pretty pleased with them considering I only paid about $23 including shipping.

did you also make sure, that the lenses have the UV protection like with the originals?

If not, you may harm your eyes when wearing them in sunlight.

They came with the UV sticker on the lense, and the Ray Ban warranty card. I am assuming they are authentic Ray Ban shooters. I've seen nothing to indicate they are knock-offs.

well, the papers and the stickers are the easiest parts, which can be faked.

If you prefer to believe, that genuine Ray Bans are sold in Malaysia for US$ 20,-- in masses.......

The ebay Auction has been meantime removed and that for a reason I would suppose.

In all seriousness: If you want to wear these, let your optician check, if they really keep off the UV rays. Your pupils are wide open behind sunglass lenses and UV rays can be VERY harmful that way.
