This house was used in a Magnum P.I. episode. Can anybody recall which one?

Thanks

Is that the episode where Magnum has to find some papers tucked under the wood floor or basebaord? It is the episode where Magnum solves the case while dreaming and predicts what will happen? The bad guy comes to the house with a gun and Magnum runs out of the house followed by the guy.

I think so, but the house was in bad repair.

Not sure, but the owner is pretty sure the episode in question features T.C. as a Little League coach.

Ah, I think you might be right Conch!

He did say that the cottage has been renovated since the 1980s, so that would explain the differences.

I sent him several screen caps. We'll see.

I don't think so James. The first house appears to be built higher off the ground with 3 or 4 steps.

I concur, and the roof is completely different not to mention the landscaping...........

I gotta say, while the estate, obviuosly, would be an awesome place to live, I don't think I would complain about having that house.

The wrap around porch, the foliage . . . it just exudes a tropical peacefulness and calm.

Yeah, you guys are right -- it's NOT the house! :(

We need to put on our thinking caps again. They are still pretty sure it's in an episode where T.C. appears as a Little League coach (I know, that's quite a few episodes). Anybody have a list of all the episodes where T.C. appears as a Little League coach? I can think of few -- "Home From the Sea", The "Jororo" episodes, "Tigers Fan"...

Sorry, I haven't visited the site for a few days, but I knew that house instantly. 'Tis the home of Lt. Yoshi Tanaka, seen in the episode Tigers Fan. :)

And T.C. is indeed coaching in the episode.

Awesome! Thanks RC!

It's been a while since I've seen this episode, but isn't the home Barbara Ikeda's (Tanaka's sister)?

Funny you should mention that James. (Since I brought it up in our private message, lol ;) ). Yes, yes it does indeed seem to be the home of Barbara Ikeda, and her son Biff as well. I suppose Tanaka and Barbara both could have lived there, but after skimming through the episode there doesn't seem to be any real proof of that. Anyone else care to chime in?

The owners were very happy to find out what episode it was used in. They bought the house just after the show ended.

The house is in Kahala, and has been used in several other TV shows/films, including Hawaii Five-0, Lost, One West Waikiki, and a Lifetime movie (Max's Special Delivery). It's also been used in TV ads on local Hawaii TV. Pretty cool!
