Renting a FERRARI in HAWAII ?

Hi there;
I am preparing my luggage for my Hawaii trip , last week of september and first week of october '09 and thinking about all I have to do there.
Sure I'll take my Macbook to get the well made map ( thank you, one more time, Rubber chicken ) and see all the major places of my favourite TV serie.
I thought it 'll be terrible to rent a FERRARI and drive along the coast as in the presentation, and why not, take THE photo , just in front of the Robin Master property.... May be a dream or just an illusion when I'll see the renting prices....;

So, is there some of you, who had found a good stuff to rent the Ferrari at a good price or to get one just for fun for a photo souvenir ?
If you have some advices or idea to do on the Magnum island , thank you by advance.

Do you have adresses and pictures ?

Bruno

Hi Bruno,
I don't know the names of the rental places but I can get you to the area.Both places rent Luxury cars.I haven't seen a 308 for rent since the mid-90's.

Bruno,
Here are a couple of links for you...Both have Ferrari's but not the 308.
The first one is for Maui and Oahu.

Here's another place, Ferrari Adventures in Waikiki.

By the way I found that in the guidebook Oahu Revealed. (Amazon link.) I've been meaning to mention this guidebook for some time, and I highly recommend it. I ended up reading it straight through like a novel, and I can't imagine there being a better Oahu guidebook. The same people make guidebooks for the other islands as well. I can't stress enough how good this guidebook is. :)

Hi RC,
That's the name I couldn't remember and it's one of the circles on the map.
I wonder if it's been reopened.

Edit...I called them..It's now Luxury Autos. The cat said "No one on Oahu rents the 308."

Wow, talk about a history of wrongdoing. :shock: I wonder if they're insuring their cars at the moment...

Nice researching Sam. :)

I recall my first trip to Oahu in 1987 there were a few places with 308's for rent and they were prominently displayed with "Rent Me" signs in the window. They were also listed in the tourist pamphlets at the Hotels. I did call about renting one back then, and I seem remember the price being around $195.00 but you had to take out mandatory insurance that at least doubled the price. I ended up renting a Jeep and having a blast. I even drove past The Estate a couple of times, of course having no idea that it was even there (what did we all do before the Internet???)

thank you....

One week before my departure to Hawaii and I think the Ferrari 308 'll be a dream for ever... but it was not the goal , only for fun.
Lot of things to do about Magnum , even if driving an economic car...
Thank you for your help.

Bruno.
