The one time I would have censored MPI

No it's not the boys' love of strip joints or hanging at the Snow Palace.
It's this type of propaganda in 'From Moscow to Maui' that might have had the Russians launching an all out real offensive. This scene is a security risk. This says, 'Look at the capability of the front line US service man. You can take him with a peashooter.' I've already had a quasi-rant in the season 2 section. I actually like the episode BTW.
For rationale, all I can think is that Supergeek is a relative of a producer or something. I know it's a kinder, gentler world out there today, but when I was briefly in the army in 1979, a guy with this bearing and deportment would have taken some serious beatings. He'd change real fast or quit.
