Triple Nipple

#1 Post by Higgy_baby »

I just noticed something at the end of Skin Deep (1.6) that reminds me of Scaramanga's triple nipple in the Man with the Golden Gun.

While at the beach volleyball net, Magnum asks TC if he ever has flashbacks to Nam. TC does, but replies 'Nah, never'.

Magnum appears to have something like a cardiogram electode on his upper left chest near his armpit. Could this be a voice microphone? If so, it could have been buried in the chest forest rather than standing out like Francisco Scaramanga.

This scene is immediately before the dedication to Robert Van Der Kar who died in the shooting of this episode.

My guess is that's the round band-aid that was used to simulate the scar from his shoulder wound. In my opinion this wound was simulated poorly through out the series. Sometimes it just looked like they put a piece of packing tape on his shoulder.
I'm also guessing that since there was no place to hide a body mic, with TS being shirtless, they most likely used boom mics for this scene.

Thanks, I didn't know about the mocking up of the injury. I agree it's poorly done if this scene is an indication.

That's not the worst of it. Sometimes it's in different places, sometimes there's more than one "scar", and sometimes it isn't even there at all. Also, he got shot on the left side a couple of times through out the series, yet the Vietnam scar is the only one they try to simulate.

I don't know if there was a specific point when they just gave up on from then on, but I do know there were times it wasn't there.
