Actor Chris Pine who plays James T Kirk in the new Star Trek Movie is the son of actor Robert Pine, best known to us as Thomas Sullivan Magnum III, dad of our favorite hero.

Perhaps Tom Selleck can be in the next Star Trek Movie as Admiral Thomas Magnum XXIII.

Chris Pine is son of Sergeant Getraer out of "CHiPs" (also known as Magnum's dad)?? I never realised!

How about Chris Pine playing Magnum in a Magnum movie??? It's just a thought...
