Hi Guys!
I just recently discovered this site...there's a LOT of snow on the ground here and I've had more time than usual to look for things to do. Haven't been out of the driveway for two weeks but am warm and have my dogs, cats, alpacas and Magnum DVDs to keep me company so I'm doing OK.
I've been reading the posts on this site...very interesting and informative. Am hoping to go to Hawaii some day and will be excited to take rubber chicken's location site info with me! I've ordered the third season of Boston Legal from Netflix to see the Selleck episodes. Does anyone know which disc they're on or do I need to watch all of them? Which wouldn't hurt my feelings, I don't think, because before there was Tom Selleck, there was William Shatner!!
And I LOVE the Jesse Stone movies! Was reading your posts about when Thin Ice was going to air. And then later I was looking at some Tom Selleck sites. Do you all know that Wikpedia says theres a 6th Jesse Stone in the works? NO REMORSE...also scheduled to air during 2009.
So see? 2009 WILL be better than 2008! Has to be with TWO Jesse Stone movies to look forward to!
So I decided to Register and contribute that little FYI. Don't know how often I'll post after "life begins again" but will be stopping in to see what you're up to periodically...now that I know you're here!!
Thanks SO MUCH for helping me deal with my cabin fever these last couple of weeks! Supposed to warm up today. Snow is supposed start melting. "I say supposed to."

(TM in Eighth Part of a Village...which you all probably already know!)
Ta!

Welcome Agatha! You won't find a friendlier site on the web. We are dedicated to exchanging ideas and information on the greatest television show ever. Here you will find a multitude of friendly and knowlegable MPI followers along with a wealth of information on the show. Although I personally have no information on Boston Legal, I'm certain someone here is, and will be happy to provide the information you're looking for. Again, welcome, and Happy Holidays.

Greatest opening to a first post ... ever! I'm envisioning the alpacas keeping you warm as you watch the
Magnum DVDs!
And yes,
No Remorse finished filming in Nova Scotia in early November. Can't wait to see this and
Thin Ice, which will probably air sometime in March.
Welcome to the site

I don't have S3 of Boston Legal, but I do know Mr. Selleck appears extensively in S2 in the episodes titled: Live Big and Ivan the Incorrigible.

Thanks, everyone, for the welcomes!! I don't let the boys (alpacas) into the house so they don't get to watch Magnum with me but my alpaca socks are getting in a lot of overtime!!
And thanks, SelleckLover, for your help with Boston Legal. I thought I had read that it was Season 3 but will change my Netflix request to Season 2 instead.

You're welcome, Agatha...I am pretty sure he appears briefly in one or two episodes in S3, but I'm not 100% sure. S2, I know for sure, so that's why I didn't comment on S3.
Oh, and welcome to the boards!

Ivan appears in 4 episodes -- 3 in Season 2 and 1 in Season 3. The Season 2 episodes are "Live Big" (episode 16), "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" (episode 20), and "Ivan the Incorrigible" (episode 22). The Season 3 episode is "Desperately Seeking Shirley" (episode 3). Enjoy!

I think it's delightful that an Agatha has come to join the members here, as we have so many other name variations and avatars in honor of the show and its characters, and we all agree the Agatha character and the actress that played her were terrific. Only appropriate that she should have an honorary namesake here.
Welcome, Agatha!

Thanks, golf, for the welcome! Agatha has a lot of endearing qualities and I'm pleased to be her namesake here on the site. Besides, I think we're about the same age!!
And thank you, Kahunagirl, for the additional Boston Legal info. Interesting to me that Tom Selleck's character on Boston Legal is Ivan. If I'm understanding that correctly. Will know for sure after I've watched.
Is anybody up for a few questions from a Newbie?
1) Is the Ivan Dixon that directed some of the Magnum episodes, the same Ivan Dixon that was in Hogan's Heroes?
2) What do you call the actors who play small supportive roles in a number of episodes? I've been doing some research...I'm STILL not out of the driveway...the last couple of days. I have the first four seasons and I started seeing people that looked familiar but I couldn't think where I'd seen them. Then I realized that they had been in other episodes. Not a re-occurring role like, say, Moki or Keoki, but completely different characters. The first one I noticed was Wally Landford. He looked SO familiar in Mad Buck Gibson...and then I realized that he was Fat Jack in Don't Say Goodbye! Kind of fun to look for them.
3) I'm assuming that newcomers to the site are welcome to rate and comment on episodes. How about the less "permanent" forums...like voting which I like best, Moki or Keoki, for example? Is it OK to cast my vote or is that "old news"?
Thanks for any information that you can share!!

The answer is "yes" and unfortunately, he passed away recently.

I would say to feel free to vote on anything you would like! The more the merrier is my motto! (I don't know the answer to #2.)

For #2 (for lack of a better term), I'd call them supporting actors, or possibly even character actors (or actresses).
SL has nailed #1 and #3. But definitely vote/contribute/comment/kvetch/vent/philosophize/invent on any post you see out here.
Thats what this site is for!
Welcome aboard Agatha!
