MAGNUM: SMOKIN’ TOO MUCH WEED!

We all know Magnum enjoys his brew, even some fine wine, but did you know he tokes as well? One must think so by S3E4 Past Tense. Who in their right mind would jog on the center line of a busy highway?! It’s crazy enough to run on the side, as there’s no shoulder there, but in fact the scene clearly shows that Magnum drifts to the center line during his jog.

We know he’s not insane; so we must think he’s higher than a kite. Only the fiery car crash ahead of him jolts him enough to realize the danger he’s in, so he looks behind for traffic not once but twice! Maybe a lonely road might serve as a jog path but not that busy road. He shows cognizance of that, showing he doesn't belong there.

Furthermore, Magnum curiously chooses to trade his usual jog back home via the beach for that busy highway, another hint he’s beyond a mere buzz, falling into manic confusion. And is that a puff of smoke out of the bushes from where he comes to get on the highway? Very curious. Maybe reefer madness incarnate on the MPI set. It must have been a lot of fun back in the day.

Thnx to hidden cameras, now we know what it was like on that set. No wonder they couldn't go beyond eight seasons. Amazing even one.
