Magnum's sleeveless T-shirt

Maybe this one
I've been looking for this as well. Found this one on a site called WWII Impressions. The shirt is called "Undershirt, summer athletic." The color is a bit off, but it may be just the
picture. (I'm not sure how to put a pic here!)

Lt. Cook,
Very close, but look at the armholes again. TM's armholes are very high, the WWII one's armholes are very low.
We may not be able to find the exact thing, but we come close. I still think the first link I posted comes closest, but "eye of the beholder" and all that.

"Portside, buddy."
Guys, I think his tank top was just any old run-of-the-mill tank top you would find in the 1980s. Most clothing items back in those days were tight fitting and if you had a smaller sized one, as in the case of Selleck, then his chest size and large shoulders combined would be a tighter fitting loop for the arm to go through. I have tank tops that do the same thing if they are smaller in size.

I agree. I was in the military in the '80s and never saw these tank tops. In fact, I was never issued any tank tops, only T-shirts. If this was a military tank top, then it was pre-1980s.Ice Pick wrote:Guys, I think his tank top was just any old run-of-the-mill tank top you would find in the 1980s. The answer is obvious, old man. Logic is irrelevant. It's simply Tropical Madness. (J.Q. Higgins)

Do you happen to have a link to the tank top? I couldn't find it on their website, but then again, I'm notorious for overlooking the bread crumbs in the pantry.Matt J wrote:I purchased a couple of tank tops from WWII Impressions and they are identical to the one in the picture at the start of the thread.

TS or NO MOVIE!
