Steak for the "Lads"

#1 Post by T.Q. »

When wifey and I have steak or high quality ground beef we always throw some to our Maine Coon cats (nope we have no dogs).
They love it.

We always think of the Lads.

Every time.

Anyone else do this with their pets?
Knocking my rubber chicken or my sloppy habits is within the rules, but you're attacking my character. I would like to think you don't mean that.

We also have cats (the number always tends to end up being three) and yes, they share our dinners as well. Well, one does intently, our oldest, a 17 yo male cat LOVES sushi grade tuna and scallops, he's got the life, huh? Steak he likes to a certain extent, but sushi walks in the door, or I take out scallops to cook, and he's right there begging.

Do cats learn to stand around the table pestering you guys for a snack like dogs learn to do? Just curious. Despite me now having two cats (I do not feed them my food) I always had at least one dog my entire life until about five years ago. Regardless of your answer I am not about to start sharing my food with the cats unless I dislike the food. That was my policy with the dogs as well.

This breed does.

The Main Coons are known as the dogs of the cat world.

Open the fridge and they hear the baggie with the cheese and they appear.

Put meat on the counter to cut and they're at your feet.

Strangely, they don't really beg once the food is cooked and you're eating though.
