Magnum Fourth Wall Video in HD

#1 Post by T.Q. »

Yeah, I did it. I just had to do it right.

Took TWO days. Ugh.

Already a copyright claim. Hope it stays up!

Knocking my rubber chicken or my sloppy habits is within the rules, but you're attacking my character. I would like to think you don't mean that.

Very well done. Would you say that it was more common for him to break the fourth wall in earlier seasons than later? It seems like far more than half of those came from the first four seasons.

Probably just a claim on the music... I think the snippets are fair game. Vimeo is more chill about that stuff I think.

Yes.

I started second guessing if I was missing them for a while but it seemed there were long stretches in later seasons with no fourth walls.

I don’t understand it at all.

You’d think they’d welcome fans posting videos and music to promote their show but they pounce.

Not like I’m profiting or selling bootlegs or something. :D

Fantastic work, well worth watching. In fact I didn't realize that he was interacting with the camera/audience SO often.

Thank you, T.Q.!

I think because YouTube pays you if your video hits a certain number of views, they all have to to be legally sound. If not then YouTube/Google could be potentially legally responsible. So they err on the side of caution.

Very well done indeed. Since I'm not an expert in what happened in which episode, I think it would be kinda cool ( and of course more work :( ) to add the episode title for each show snippet down in the corner, small text.

I know, I know, forget I said anything

I thought the last snippet was really nice, a great finish.

Again, very nice job.

Oh, recently Dennis Miller interviewed John Corbett, they talked a bit about Northern Exposure, touching on why many shows have problems with getting green lit to be streamed, etc... money money money. I didn't watch NE but apparently the show had great tunage, but the tunage now is what makes the show too expensive to put out, according to JC. Corbett felt to try and remove the original music and replace it with something else would destroy a part of the show, making it unwatchable.
