Magnum on Charge network

#1 Post by metalmoose »

I am near Buffalo NY. Magnum just started on the "Charge" network. 29.3 antenna TV! 10 pm. Looks the same quality as regular DVD's. Episode one. Hopefully they won't edit to add more commercials like they do on other networks! Looks like 3 episodes per day!!! There was a cool bleep over Dan's sister's voice during the rain scene in episode 2. Think she says GD! Not sure, have to check the dvds. It's funny because it makes her seem like she's saying something much worse!

Home from the sea is on right now. It is awesome to have Magnum on from 10-1pm (3 episodes) on Charge network! It is also on from 10p-? So I am thinking they repeat the episodes at night.

Man, this is such a great show...

I am going to pick back up seriously watching it for 4.9 "The Look."

i can stream it on Amazon and I have the DVDs but having it on tv just makes me feel like its 1982 again and things are more normal.

All the best to you Mag Maniacs, hope to see you on the episode message boards.

I’m that way too. I have all the DVD’s but still stop to watch episodes on TV. Just watched Dead Man’s Channel yesterday!

Me too! This, and Italian Ice are probably my favorite of season 2. The kudu buck is my favorite Magnum/Higgins subplot of all time. Funny thing, I had seen this episode numerous times when I read here on the forum that TC wasn’t in it. I swear I hadn’t noticed!!! I must have been distracted by all the boats and diving. I personally enjoy doing both those things. A buddy of mine even has a Cal 20 like in the opening scene, named Kate.

Let me know what you think of The Quiet Man. I’m not a huge John Wayne fan but he’s great in this along with Maureen O’Hara and Victor McLachlen. Mildred Natwick from Limited Engagement is in too. You’ll get the “Towel!” reference after you’ve seen it.

I love boating and diving too. I think it’s why I like it so much also. I just hope I get a chance this summer. Warm weather is so precious up here. Don’t want to spend the whole season locked up in my house!

They were playing the show in order up until tonight! Three episodes per night. Just finished parts one and two of Echos of the mind and was all stoked to watch one of my favorite episodes Mac's Back, but The Legacy of Garwood Huddle played! Ouch! Mac's Back has an awesome continuation from Echos of the mind because it starts out with Magnum depressed from the shocking death of Dianne, hopelessly pounding down the Coops beer on the beach and feeling guilty over Diane's and Mac's death. Hopefully they realize the goof and play it tomorrow night. Just checked the schedule... they are switching episodes around a bit in season 5. Weird. They didn't do it even once up until now. My theory is they want to put the best episodes on in the first two hours to get maximum viewer attention. hmm If that's the case, the guy putting on the shows must be a real fan.

They are into season six and started playing the lame edited versions to make room for more commercials. Boo. So many cool parts missing. Can't watch anymore.

It is still on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. Four episodes in a row, in order, starting at 2:00 PM CT (1:00 PM ET, 9:00 AM Hawaii time). I have not noticed that they are cut down for more commercials. It is not the best time for me, but since I am stuck at home it now works for me. I also have all of the DVDs and could just watch those, but that seems like a hassle compared to just turning on the TV.

For those so inclined, between Charge (two 3 hour blocks) and Hallmark (one 4 hour block) we actually have 10 hours of Magnum, P.I. a day . . . what a time to be alive, and locked down in quarantine!!
