Formats other than DVD?

For all non-episode specific topics about the show, including MPI-related "tie-ins"

Formats other than DVD?

#1 Post by stormcooper »

I have some of the early series on DVD, but I tend to download films and TV shows from places like iTunes and so on these days. That way, I can take my shows with me when I'm working away etc.

But I can't find MPI for download anywhere? It's not on iTunes and a google search doesn't find it? Is there anywhere (legal of course) that i can download the show for storage and viewing on my computer?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. What a great show it was!!

I don't know about downloading the show, but I suggest buying the dvds and encoding them into H.264 with a program like HandBrake. You'll have the best of both worlds, being able to watch them on a TV with the dvds, and also having .mp4 files to keep on your computer. Or if you have 330 GB available you could just copy the dvds to your computer with a dvd ripping program. Either method takes some time (mostly the computer's time) but in the end it's my preferred method.

Hope this helps. It was indeed a great show. :)

Thanks for your response RC. As you say, probably the best option for me.

I was thinking about suggesting the same.

Please keep in mind, that the use of handbrake is not allowed in some countries.
