TS's autograph-RECIVED

#1 Post by Karrnut »

Well the package finely came in today. It includes; a 8x10 color photo of Tom in the Ferrari, signed "To Wayne Aloha Tom Selleck" and the glove pouch from my Mera (Ferrari 308 factory built replica, only 254 were built, one of which may have been used on the show, for the rough stuff), this reads "Tom Selleck
A.K.A. Thomas Magnum." Included was a card reading " With My Compliments Tom Selleck." Also on the card is yet another address for TWS PRODUCTIONS?

My one, and only problem is: The photo was put back into it's protective sleeve with the autograph still wet and smeared it rather badly. So do I "Buck-Up" and do nothing, or do I send this one back with another photo requesting another signed photo?

FYI: This package was sent out on April 28th.

FUNNY THING: When I opened the package my wife said..."how old are you"

Hard to say. Is it readable?
If it is, then keep it, it proves it's authentic and not a print. Otherwise, if you can only hardly make it out, I'd send another photo to the address they provided with a friendly request for another one.

Haha, I know the feeling. I felt rather childish when I requested an autograph from Alan Alda (and got one).

Readable, only because I know what it is. I would be happy to post photos of both items, but..I don't know how to do it on this site. If anybody out there knows, please tell me how.

Wow, thats really neat. The way you post pics or one way is to save the pic to a site like photobucket or something of that nature and then you can link the direct image url to your forum post. The photo should then pop up in the thread. I'd enjoy the opportunity to view the pics though very much. Thanks for offering to share with us :)

Yes, photobucket, Imageshack, Flickr... whatever. And then you post the URL with the img-tag above and it magically appears

Img tag---insert url---[/img] tag
(can't do it properly now, because otherwise my description will appear as a tagged non-existing picture.)

Extremely cool! If you can't figure out how to post, PM me and I'll give you my email address. I can then post for you.

Awesome! I can imagine your sinking feeling to finally have the photo returned and find that it's smudged. I'd probably ask for it to be redone...but maybe send a photo of the photo in case it takes a few years to get back to you!

I agree, it really is smudged bad. What I have done is purchased the same photo, and will send both (with return postage) and a brief note, with the hope that TS will sign the new one, I think he will understand.

Yes, that is a very good idea to ask for the same photo to be redone and sending the smudged one too.
That way he doesn't think you are asking for the autograph to sell it on ebay or something. He must realise that it means a lot to you!

Yeah, I am really surprised he doesn't ask for payment for his autograph, a lot of "lesser stars" do. I guess that's what is called...class.

To be fair, a lot of "lesser stars" probably need the money a bit more than TS...but I don't need any convincing that TS is a class act!
