How Many Different Types of Baseball Caps Did Magnum Wear?
During the series, Magnum, wore several types of baseball type caps. Specifically, what caps were they?

Well let's see, there was the "Da Nang" cap, the "Tigers" cap, the away "Tigers" cap (worn only once), the "Al's Automotive and Muffler Shop" cap, the "Camouflage" cap, and the "plain grey" cap (worn only once). I think that covers it. Lord help me for knowing all of this.
Great, now I've got my kids Caps For Sale book stuck in my head.....
"caps....caps for sale.....50 cents a cap"

Here are the caps I have listed in my old notes:
Tigers
VMO2
Camouflage
Al's Muffler
Gray Adjustable in #96
Another Gray Adjustable in 128 and 144 (could be the same cap as 96)
Get Wet
White Painters Cap
Tan Painters Cap
Orange D Tigers
USC Trojans
That doesn't count the Driving Cap in 126 or the Hard Hat in 54

This post is for IslandHopper:
According to Tom Selleck's Biography Channel video, he did not attend USC on a basketball scholarship. He first went to LA Valley Junior College and transferred to USC later on. He did play on the USC basketball team, but quit college in his senior year to sign with 20th Century Fox as a contract actor. He says he was exposed to acting while at USC, by being chosen to be in a Pepsi commercial, not because of his acting ability, but because he could stuff a basketball with both hands!
Just thought I'd share!

Thanks for the correction Sellecklover. It has been a while since I've seen the biography you mentioned. I wonder if that Pepsi Ad you mentioned ever aired on TV. Does anyone know? If so, I wonder if a copy still exists? I'd like to see the Ad if it still exists. I imagine that probably had to be mid-to-late 60's.
I think someone previously mentioned this, but I noticed that in "Paper War" Magnum wore a black cap with "Get Wet" on it. This is at the end of the episode when the feud between Magnum and Higgins has ended and Magnum enters Higgins' study with the cap on.

Hey Mike, great to have you here! Thanks for the input. I had sinking feeling I was missing some - quite a few as it turns out!burroughsmvp wrote:Here are the caps I have listed in my old notes:

I know that the Pepsi ad did indeed run on television, because I remember it!
I have followed TS's career ever since I saw him in "Myra Breckenridge" in the late 1960's believe it or not! (Yeah! I'm old! LOL) I faithfully watched him in the soap opera "The Young & the Restless" in the early 70's and so on.
And James, if I knew how to capture video on my computer I'd send that Pepsi Ad to you off of my Biography video.

These guys should have it:zendragon wrote:Newbie here, but Magnum fan.
I was wondering, does anyone know if they still produce Tiger's Ball Caps like the one Magnum wore in the 80's? I see a lot of the New Era Caps, but they have a very raised DT emblem.
thanks for the answer in advance!
