Today I was watching the cover of the seventh season, on wich it is visible TM's buckle. It is not a Hi-Res pic but I am beginning to think that the right badge is the Special Operations one.

It's hard to tell, the episode where they think Magnum and the Hawaiian girl are reincarnated, forget the episode, anyway..it shows a close up of the belt buckle, when he is getting beat up as well as the episode where TC's daughter is kidnapped and the closeup is when Magnum yells at TC when he's beating up the bad guys and when TC turns around to see that they have rescued his daughter.
