Hey! A good old Spartan huh? It's funny,I had you pegged as a "Cake Eater"..only joking

My son also played in the old Lake Conference Blue for SLP.He graduated in 94,played all the way through with Erik Rasmussen,if you remember him.Erik played for the Sabres,Kings and Devils. My son spoke with him a few weeks back,he was on is way to play in Finland.

Ouch on the wrist, not laughing unless it was the second half of the 4 x 4 that took you into the boards. :)

Uuugh........I still hate Edina, but if I recently read correctly (I have been in Chicago since 1983) that Eden Prairie is the new "Cake-Eaters" now....

I told some of you my "Limbo" story on the old A&E board a few years ago, but most of you probably don't know it.

I was in a car wreck years ago in my soft top jeep. Being young and trying to impress the girls, I got into a habit of not wearing my seatbelt in that jeep. So, even though it was a freezing December morning, I was still seatbelt-less when I had the wreck and flew out of the jeep. Serious head injuries had me in intensive care in a near-coma.

From what I've been told, I didn't talk or open my eyes but would show slight movement when doctors or nurses got right next to my face and talked to me.

I was like that for four days, and on Christmas Day my parents were told I might stay like that the rest of my life.

On the 26th, a friend came to visit me at the hospital. My mom told my friend that, because of my condition, doctors and nurses wanted visitors to touch my arm/hand and talk to me.

My mom said, "Mike, there's somebody here to see you."

My friend touched my hand and said, "Mike"

I opened my eyes, grabbed her hand, and started talking to her like nothing was wrong. (No, I didn't ask for a pint of stout!!!)

Six months later, we were engaged.

We've been married for more that 16 years.

Miracles do happen!

Well, I think Doc Ibold wins the Rubber Chicken Award for this one.

As for me, I do like the "Operation: Silent Night," for the Christmas season (but I confess "A Child's Christmas in Wales" and "White Christmas" are my seasonal replays).

It would be so hard for me to pick a favorite (though I do have some that I just DON'T want to watch), because I didn't really have an appreciation for them until I joined Magnum-Mania. I was such an ignorant semi-fan! Now I am a semi-knowledgeable rabid fan! If I hadn't found the group here (thanks AGAIN, James!!!!), I wouldn't have appreciated visiting the tidal pool and wouldn't have seen "The Forgotten Treasures" of "Michael." (And on that mention, I think that might be the only taste we are going to get -- I have heard nothing from him in nearly a month, and he is not responding to my emails. I haven't tried calling his phone number yet, because I don't want to "push" him or intrude if he has decided that he doesn't want to liquidate his collection, or at least not to us.)

For me, it's mostly just interesting to go back and watch episodes I was vaguely familiar with before from seeing them in syndicated re-runs -- and now being able to view them with the extra insight that I have acquired from following the forums threads here.

However, I still want to know what Doc Ibold's status is with his lady friend NOW. Are they still watching more episodes? Is the relationship developing positively?

BUT --- . . . . if I had a date I wanted to impress with a DVD, I fear I would pull out "Quigley Down Under." THEN after he develops an appreciation of Tom Selleck, I might start exposing him to the MPI experience.

Excellent choice golf! I would have a hard time choosing between QDU and An Innocent Man. He does an excellent job of chewing up the scenery in those two films, IMHO, excluding his Jesse Stone performances, of course.

Its going well... she's actually coming over this Sat to watch the U of M Wolverines square off against the OSU Buckeyes. Even though, I feel my boys in Blue are going to get creamed. Nevertheless, its going to be the first time she meets the 'Rents.

She's cool as hell, in so more many ways than just the Magnum thing. We have our own little jokes that only she and I get, and have tons of common interests. Its been refreshing because we can just be ourselves around each other and not have to maintain some facade. Haven't been able to show her more Magnum eps, but that'll come in time!

:D

Wish me luck guys (and gals)!
