Those tasty philosophical morsels...
Just finished watching "Limbo," and it all of a sudden occurred to me that the one thing I've always appreciated about the show are those little philosophical tidbits sprinkled throughout the various episodes, sometimes in the voice-overs and sometimes in the dialogue. In "Limbo," Magnum says (in th...

Come to think of it, TC also become entangled with a bad-girl type who came back to "haunt" him in a episode where she went over a cliff. Can't remember the specifics of their affair, but she seemed to be a somewhat toxic relationship for him if memory serves me correctly. I love TC...he's a wonderf...

Thanks for the information. I thought there might have been something going on behind the scenes, but I just didn't know. TC makes a nice counterweight to the supposedly flippant Magnum...while Thomas is reliving his twenties ("I woke up and realized I was 32 and never had the chance to be 22") and ...

Why is TC such a prude?
I just finished "A Pretty Good Dancing Chicken," and in one scene, Rick and TC go to a lingerie store to follow a lead. While going in, TC remarks, "Rick, I can't even look in the windows of this place." All of a sudden, I realized that TC doesn't seem to drink, either. While Magnum sips on the omni...

My synopsis...
After reading the many comments to this post, I thought of a compromise plot that would please us "refugees from the 1980s" as well as those who want to see what the gang is up to these days and the studio money-men. Here goes: Magnum is running naval intelligence in Hawaii alongside Maggie Poole. H...

Those "stolen" moments
Much of my MPI knowledge originally came from watching (and re-watching) episodes taped on VHS from networks that carried the show after it went off the air. For awhile in the early to mid 1990s, numerous networks ran the shows, so the episodes weren't hard to find. But I think in syndication (corre...

Agreed. It would be fascinating to see the gang today. I've contemplated a possible plot for this storyline for years. Magnum runs Naval Intelligence in Hawaii and winds up working with some young kid on a case that somehow involves the criminal underworld of the Islands... And you're right. Who wou...

My least favorites (in no particular order): 1. Adelaide (I think the word I'm looking for is "droll") 2. Never Again Never Again (at least Rick has one good moment in this one as a Sushi delivery boy) 3. The Taking of Dick McWilliams (Title character is so cheesy, it makes one wonder why anyone wou...

A Crazy Magnum Movie Proposal from New Member
OK, I know what you're thinking: not another thread about a Magnum movie. Don't worry. I've lost all hope that a movie involving any of the original cast will be made. I'm 38-years-young, I've spent a year of my life in a morgue (long but fascinating story), and I despise reality television. I've wi...
