Perhaps this was discussed in previous posts, but was the boathouse/guesthouse spared from demolition? I see the gatehouse was kept, which is interesting considering it was likely to be as dilapidated as the main house.

There was a post or link previously to an old newspaper article that detailed the building of Pahonu. I believe it had been written just before construction began. Could somebody find and post that again?
