BTW, I also taught summer Phy Sci in 86-87 around the corner at Kaiser (as in hospitals, shipbuilding, etc.) High School. RC has terrific geo skills. He knows the streets, turn-offs, and highways well. 'Blow hole' is another nearby attraction. Blow hole is kinda tourist/X-gen spot where the underwat...

Have driven on that road for "Higgens" (double) and second unit. Pretty sure that RC is correct. The only other road it could be is the one for the s'east lighthouse.. But that does not fit. However, the terrain and picture fits RC's designation. The area is near Hanuama Bay. The area was also close...

Hey James, thanks again. I was hoping to get one or two from that episode. I have some set pictures from the days of shooting. On the final day of shooting, we had the 'napalm' drop. We soldiers then escaped to a Huey. During my run to the chopper, I ran by Tom as he was emptying his jacket. I still...

Rubber Chicken, please try this site: http://journeyphoto.blogspot.com/2007/12/hawaiian-heat.html I also have a copy of 'A Different Kind of Justice' episode, which I appeared. Shelly Winters gave me an on-set standing ovation for my performance. In the episode, 'Ancient Fires' I did a stunt. FYI, d...

James and Rubber Chicken, my son told me the story (listing) of the home last month. I actually do not remember the home, but do remember while working in Nuuanu on another television show, Hawaiian Heat, our walkie talkies would get mixed-up with Magnum's. Our residential home in Honolulu was one v...

James, the 'Birds' episode was my first speaking role. In the show, I played 'Pepe' -- the 'Nam' scene at the beginning of the show. I still have a light scar on my left forearm from a hot casing fired from Tom's M16. The sequence was filmed out in Haleiwa (North Shore) at an old Naval training airp...

Hi N1095A. I like the tag and will keep it. Thanks for the info. Lance was bigger than life. It was fun being around him and Tom at the same time. Tom always wanted to get a giggle out of Lance, but Lance was serious on set. Lance also gave pointers and tips to someone as I. I have a picture of Lanc...

Thanks for the welcome Rubber Chicken. But... Geepers! How does everyone get those pics? I have very few. Yep, me though. Thanks. I think I still have that tie somewhere. Cannot remember if we have ever been to Shung Chong. Likely have passed by it. I was 'on call' while those scene's were being sho...

LOL! Don't know about that James. I think I remember Don directing an episode at Kahala Beach (original site of 'Rick's' bar) where either Tom or Larry were goofing around with Shirley. Don may have said, '...over here guys or get back to work...' Or, something of that nature. You have me interested...

BTW James, in realtion to Shirley, I had to dig into my memory a little: Shirley was indeed the most attractive girl on set, when there. The thing was that when Shirley was on set, it was like bees on honey. If Tom and Larry were not getting her attention, the teamsters would take over. Occassionall...

FYI for Rubber Chicken: The 'South of France' scene is the La Pietra School for Girls (http://www.lapietra.edu/). The site was used numerous times in Magnum for a variety of episodes. La Pietra is an admired school in Honolulu. La Pietra is located at the southwest face of Diamond Head and close to ...

Well I'll be! Isn't that fun!?! That's me alright. Wonder if I can retain that youth somehow? The picture was taken from 'Unfinished Business' which Russ Mayberry directed. In the scene I was doing the 'Ollie North' thing in destroying some documents that Colonel Green did not want Magnum to get aho...
